| Hotkeys/Config Options Not Saving |
|
I've received several reports from people about their hotkeys and skills not being saved after they set them. I believe that I have tracked down the solution for this problem.
Step 1: Make sure you install your game OUTSIDE of your program files folder if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7. You MUST have write permissions on your RO folder in order for the save to work. Step 2: Make sure that you have a folder named "data" in your RO directory. If you do NOT have one, create a new folder named "data" and leave it empty. Step 3: Run "SavePath_Rag.exe" in your RO folder. Then run ShadowRO as normal and you should be set! If this doesn't solve your problems, please let me know. |

Hey guys, I made a quick patch to address the zoom problem with the client. Simply run the patcher and you should be good to go.
Working on the script update now. |

| eAthena Update |
|
Hey guys, I fixed the problem with the update (it's always the trivial bugs that are the hardest to track down...).
If you check my forum announcements, I wasn't initially planning on doing an eAthena update, but I checked and they had added quite a few things, prompting me to squeeze it in ahead of my planned releases. However, this decision significantly changed my development schedule. Check the forum thread for details. On to the update: You MUST use our new standalone client to connect to and play on the updated server; the renewal client and our old sakray client don't play nice together. You can download the client from our downloads section. Please check and verify that you are getting ShadowROFull20100827.exe. If your browser has cached the old link, you could be confused about not being able to connect. This update is JUST an eAthena update. Our custom scripts are coming tomorrow. I decided to split the update to keep things simple for testing the renewal client on day 1. That said, there are some new features. New items, mobs, and endless tower should all be in. I believe that we may be missing some or all of the brasilis maps, so be careful exploring around there until I get a chance to add those in (1-2 days). This update also sees the "test" database being moved to our primary database. I do not mean to imply that we are through our testing phase and into our stable phase. However, website functions on your accounts/characters should now be working on this server. I took a backup of the original ShadowRO database as of...roughly 8PM on the 28th of August. I'll keep it somewhere safe. In case anyone was wondering, it is over 160 megabytes of items, monsters, characters, levels, skills, and guilds. But that doesn't measure the friends or the blood, sweat, and tears that went into it. Update: I just realized that the zoom on the renewal client is very limited. I'll make a patch tomorrow to fix that up. |

| Update...update? |
|
Hey guys! I had some issues last night where the update...didn't work. I've put up the old test server, I'll examine the issue tomorrow. Keep on trucking.
Note: Remember that, for now, you need to use the old shadowRO install to connect to the server. Once the update is applied, only the new standalone will work. |

| Renewal Client |
|
Hey guys, the renewal client has been released. It can be found under the downloads section. For the time being, I have both the standalone and the client only downloads pointing to the new standalone (that is, there IS no client only download at the moment).
The renewal client is NOT compatible with our old eAthena. I\'m currently finishing off an eAthena update and it should be ready and applied in just a couple hours. You MUST use our standalone to get on the updated server. If you download the new standalone before I have the server update done, I recommend installing the new standalone to a new directory so that you can still use your existing ShadowRO in case there are problems. More details will be posted on the forums once the update is up. |
